What this case converter does

Convert text between the naming conventions and letter cases you actually use: UPPER CASE, lower case, Sentence case, Title Case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE.

It runs entirely in your browser, so text from documents, tickets or customer data never leaves your machine.

Which case to use where

The conventions are not arbitrary; each one signals a different context:

  • camelCase and PascalCase for variable and class names in JavaScript, Java and C#.
  • snake_case and CONSTANT_CASE for Python, SQL columns and environment variables.
  • kebab-case for URLs, CSS class names and file names, because hyphens are safe in all three.
  • Title Case for headings and titles; Sentence case for prose, which most style guides now prefer for UI copy.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between camelCase and PascalCase?

Both join words without separators and capitalise the first letter of each later word. camelCase starts with a lower-case letter (myVariableName); PascalCase starts with an upper-case letter (MyClassName).

What counts as Title Case?

Title Case capitalises the significant words in a heading. Style guides differ on short words such as of, and, and the, which are usually left lower-case unless they start or end the title.

Will it break accented or non-English characters?

No. Case conversion uses Unicode rules, so accented Latin letters, Greek and Cyrillic are converted correctly rather than being mangled or dropped.

Does it send my text anywhere?

No. The conversion happens locally in your browser with no network requests.
